Hi All-

New MP owner from North Carolina.

Can someone provide some insight into what general rules I need to be aware of when flying a drone.

FAA license?

Can I fly over buildings?

I live in Raleigh and want to do some stuff over the city and am not sure what I can and cannot do.

Do a lot of traveling as well. Are drones friendlier in certain places more than others?

I revisited the FAA's page after the registration push earlier in 2017. I knew about them losing a law suit, but didn't realize how unrestrictive operation became.

The only thing that changed was the hobbyist registration requirement. Everything else is the same.
