I fly mostly over water in the archipelago. Are there any guidelines about how low over the water surface you can fly before the Mavic might get confused and take a dive ?

Is it the ultrasonic sensors that get confused or is it the optical sensors ?

Is a water surface with waves more or less confusing to the Mavic than a smooth water surface ?

Thanks,

There is no reason why any sensors should get "confused" and no reason why the Mavic should dive on its own. It is no different than flying over land. In normal flight mode there is nothing that automatically changes the flying altitude of the Mavic.

Ah, found a good thread on the topic:

Flying over water

Seems like leaving 'VPS' on but turning off 'Landing protection' might be the safe route while over water.
