THIS tutorial may help.
Download iCare Data Recovery (free) HERE
I haven't used this myself but it looks as if it should do the business
Brilliant will give it a go ,just looking ive got a copy of sandisk rescue pro deluxe free with these expensive cards of theirs so im gonna give that a whirl first .appreciate the advice.
any idea why this happens ?
next time will connect the drone and try the cable.

Recently whenever i pop my sd card into my pc via card reader, it tells me that something is wrong with the device. It gives me the option to scan and fix, which i do, and then its good to go. You could also try plugging the drone directly into your computer and skip the card reader?

I always put the SD card into my PC's card reader & so far haven't had a problem although in the past I have had the option to scan and fix USB pen drives.

it will happen if you forget to press stop recording before you turn off the drone just put it back in the drone turn it on for a few seconds and it should close down the last file then turn off the drone and try it in the card reader

yes it did i did that and it then asked to format ,obviously i declined.

Gutted just ran the software twice it says its recovered the files and the sizes look ok but none play .........f---ing sandisk ,i am not amused.
what about the album saved ones in the app when i click download it says connect aircraft to download hd files ,im guessing it means the corrupted files .. :( :(

Two different things .
If the message tells you "I recognise the file system, but there are some errors I can fix for you", then that's usually safe to say "yes" to and is usually the result of turning the drone off before it has closed the file, or removing the card from the computer before it has finished or similar things.
If the message is saying "This card doesn't seem to have a file system on it, would you like me to format it for you", that's bad. It's either a reader problem ,a faulty memory card or something critical in the file system isn't reading as it should. If you've used it the same computer before be nervous. Try to read it from where it was last written to (the drone), get everything off it and either reformat it and test it before using or put it to one side and use a different one. If you can't read it, then look at recovery software and if that doesn't work and there is stuff you really want look at recovery specialists, who can be expensive.

As old man mavic said, put in a fresh battery and turn the drone on again so the file system can complete the recording
nothing to do with that i tried it first the battery had about 40% left ,i even tried via the lead from the drone.

ok great thanks for the advice.

Ok so success well mostly ,the files have been recovered :p:D
i tried a few bits of software and the one that worked was called recoverit by wondershare.
i have the video files but it separated them into 3 bits for each one no biggie tbh at least i have them back.
just a heads up for anyone wanting to use such software it scans for free and then they want $70 to get at them with no guarantee it will work.
i found a copy somewhere shall we say for free ;);) it worked just fine. and yes if i knew it would have worked i would have gladly paid but they said it may not and it was not refundable.
i would love to know why this happened i am just testing the card no for bad sectors or errors.

I FOUND THE REASON WHY .
see attached photo. not very good for a so called high end card.
i am testing my others now.20200730_200019.jpg

maybe a counterfeit card
could be ,amazon sending another for today ,i have a fake test flash tool ,i never ran it to be honest

If it came from a reputable supplier it's unlikely to be a counterfeit. The message doesn't tell us much about the what the test is doing or what was wrong - it looks like a bad block in a crucial place, and once that happens, replace the card. [Side note it always amazes me that the people will risk hours of work / unrepeatable pictures for the sake of spending £/$/€10-20 on a memory card, or a couple of minutes duplicating files but that's another story]

As for high end / high quality , no-one is immune to failures, the best brands have a lot fewer, but if you get one that fails, for you it's 100% ! On the plus side if it is a card fault then your computer, drone, and what you've done yourself are all fine.

I have spoken to DJI about their format system in their drones before. Occasionally, I have had the same issues with supposedly corrupt files. I always power down my drones before removal of the card. I still occasionally see corrupt cards when reading from a PC after using DJIs format in the RC. Apple devices will read these cards successfully (most of the time) when the PC indicates a card error. I do not own a Mac computer, so I purchased a card reader that runs on the lightning port of my iPhone. When I have a card that my PC says is unreadable for whatever reason, I use the iPhone card reader and so far, that has worked about 90% of the time. I think Apples implementation of the format system is more robust.
