Seagulls

Hi everybody

Had a little sea flight yesterday and got chased off by Seagulls.

They did not seem pleased to see me, and being a new craft I was not willing to have the drone taken out of the air by these beasts. A quick retreat was taken.

Has anybody else has such experiences, perhaps a chopped up bird in the process?

I live in Florida and fly over the Gulf and Tampa Bay often...plenty of Seagulls everywhere...never encountered a problem with them yet. I guess there's a first time for everything!

I sometimes have the impression that bird flocks are circling closer and closer to my Mavic, and when they get too close I take it down for a while. Never had any accident but there have been other threads in regard to birds on this forum, and so I discover that the best way to escape attacking birds is going up, not down, since the Mavic climbs way faster than birds but descends way slower than them. Many of these threads contain some clips also:

I guess its a territorial thing. I was very thankful for sport mode, my Mavic was very much in a tentative state after this chase.
