Hey guys! I'd love to meet other drone owners/operators living close to me. For all I know there could be one just down the road. Is there a way or permissible to search by location for members? Being a member of an RC club 20 miles away, I know those members; just wanna check if theres others, not a member of our RC club, who may be residing close to me and would want to fly together.

You could use the members map at the top of the page and look around your location, but there's no search function.

You can look up a member and see where they are located by the "Location" tab if available, and then search around the map in that area.

The PINS on the map are the location of a member and by clicking the PIN it will tell you which member it is.

Some PINS are hundreds of miles away from where they are supposed to be and it is a challenge to find your PIN and move it to the desired location.

What's the URL of the members map?
Can't seem to find it.

Hi I can't find the members map anywhere, don't know what I'm doing wrong. I wonder if you could send me a screen shot. Thanks

Thanks for your reply mate but my screen doesn't look like that i must be in the wrong place or something but thanks anyway
Cheers Andy
I realize you're down under but the screen should show the same details right side up :D

I wouldn’t put my true location on a map that is openly available!
No problem here. In fact google directions to my home address, leads people to an entirely incorrect location; was fine when I complained to Google a couple of years ago but since it has reverted back to its old platt address. My wife frequently throws very large parties for her friends (I have none :() and each time its a nightmare. I'm on the phone for at least 90 minutes, providing directions to her newer friends, what a pain; I definitely have a stiff drink at our lovely bar, after that.

Once you find your PIN, you can move it where you want it to. Put it on the town square or your neighbors house.

It doesn't have to be your exact location.

I live in Fruita, Colorado. My phone number and address are listed in the local phone directory. No doubt on innumerable online databases*, as well. Big deal. Would I be any more vulnerable if my location were displayed on this site's map?

There are a lot of trees in my yard. If there were a boogieman behind every tree, I might be in serious trouble. But there aren't.

*In a few instances, that info has helped old friends with whom I'd lost touch track me down. Life is good.
