Hello
I would block the lower sensors on the Mavic Mini.I wonder how this affects the outdoor flight.

The lower sensors supplement GPS and allow stable flight when at sufficiently low altitude and there are GPS issues. The only possible negative is if VPS gives a false reading of unsuitable landing location, but I believe you can override that. You certainly can override landing protection on other models. I had to do just that on my first M2 flight.

Well I have read where some do it to fly low over water
and albatros do as I do try it and see.

Unless I really missed something - you can't do that on a Mini.

Yeah I think what Mickey's saying is that covering the sensors with duct tape or something is the equivalent of disabling the sensors....

I have seen the same suggestion for flying indoors with the Mini where furniture and such can cause the quad to yo-yo up and down while flying around....
