Setting the date and time on a M3 Pro

Which controller are you using? I believe DJI Fly gets the date/time from the underlying OS and not in Fly. If you have an RC Pro get out of the Fly app and set the date/time under Settings.

Please note that we can set the Date and time zone in the DJI RC by going to the main page>settings>system>Date&time, and then setting it as required. Source

Sorry, no. I'm in the settings page and there is no option or menu item called 'system'. I think if I connect to my home network, the time will auto set but I can't find the wifi options anywhere either.

OK, after extended searching I discovered that you have to swipe the screen down TWICE to get to the real settings page with the wifi. Who the heck came up with that totally un-intuitive approach? Idiots aside, it worked and it did automatically set the time. Still, the settings menu does not have those choices.

Tried swiping the screen in all directions. Nothing. How the heck do I connect?
Swipe down twice from the top of the screen like this.

Enable Wi-Fi here:

Click the gear to access additional settings where you can set the time/date:

I was just in there and all of a sudden my drone is set for GMT +8 and China Standard and it is not intuitive as to changing it. Like said above settings, network & time, and thentap the region if it is wrong and then it will bring up a country screen to pick from...
**** that took longer than it should have... :) I'm earning the "old Fart" label...

Surely it will pick up a date and time from the many, many flying chronometers that is the GPS satellite systems. I’ve not set anything on my RC-N2 or Mini 4 Pro yet there is time and date on media I’ve taken so it either comes from the drone, rc, or phone.

But you have to tell it where you are and no, I don't think it will pick a time up from satellites. I've seen with mine that unless I start the controller at home and allow wifi access, it can be a day or three off. Once it gets synced through the wifi, you will be good. You just have to choose the region and a nearby city.
I do not know why my controller reset its location to China. I had mine set for New York since May 2023 and I have to assume a recent update reset that setting.
So set the region
set a nearby city
Start the unit (controller) and tap into your Wi-Fi to ensure the time has not drifted.

Odd that a drone can’t get its time from gps yet my camera (an ancient Canon 7d2) can.
