Sharing experience with DJI customer service (Drone repair) - Very Positive Outcome

Experienced a unscheduled landing event from 300ft with my Mini 4 pro, the camera gimbal wouldn't initialize after a tree impeded the unplanned landing. No DJI care was in place for the drone as it had been purchased used and didn't get it certified to get the flight care. So I opened a case with DJI and they provided a label for shipping the drone in. Drone was sent on Friday, Monday they received it and processed it, assessing the damage and quoting for repair. Total repair was quoted at 110 USD, I paid promptly and received confirmation. Wednesday I receive notice drone is repaired and is shipping. I received the drone yesterday, it was a brand new un-activated drone. Upon activation I was invited to purchase the flight care plan which I did. Outcome, used drone of in excess of 1000 flights sent in for repair. 110 + 80 = new drone with dji flight care. I am a super happy camper. :)
 
Thats great news and I must say, not an uncommon story. I think DJI's customer care service is unquestionably superb. And it's not that common in the service industry. I have DJI Care Refresh, had an unplanned crash, lost the drone in a tree, had the help of some lovely guys from Greyarrows, retrieved it and sent it back to DJI. I received a new drone inside 72 hours. It restores my faith in humanity!

You're lucky. I tried the same thing a week ago on my m5pro. purchased outside of DJI. Couldn't add on dji care, and when I open the DJI Assistant 2, it laughs at me and am unable to do anything IRT service/repair.
 
So go back to your supplier and ask them about support. The Mini 5 Pro hasn’t been released officially in the US because DJI are being denied the ability to support purchasers. Blame your governments.
