I believe it is a Typhoon.

It is the Plus version, that is a C23 camera that has the 1” sensor. You can tell the shot was taken with a camera with a real shutter (note the props don’t have the funny curves).

Yes the drive ins here is Australia really took a beating in the 80's, I guess video hire was the main culprit there, then of course the www took out vhs (and even CD) movie video hire eventually.
At one time there were 308 drive ins across the nation, now I think it is 16.

This was the Starline at O'Halloran Hill, about 10 mins from my home . . . we went to it many times in the early 80s before it closed in April 1984.

Amazing the screen is still there, the whole site is almost unrecognisable as an old drive in site, only the screen gives it away now.
