What could cause a minus in altitude when coming in to land with the mavic. The worst I have seen a minus was a -8 ft could it be I need to calibrate positioning sensors?

It means the estimated altitude is below the takeoff point.

Are you landing in the exact spot where you took off? If not, the ground could be lower in the landing area.

Probably a foot or two off from landing spot at max but definitely not an 8 foot altitude difference. Now say if that happens could it cut the motors off before it touches ground? As smart as the mavic is I would think it would know it's on ground or not.
