no, you just select the aircraft from Aircraft Management and it connects to it in 10 sec. And only if you switch aircraft since last time you used it, otherwise it will connect automatically as usual. Completely transparent and user friendly.

However, if the MA2 was linked to a different controller since last time you used it with the SC it needs to be relinked, by re-adding the craft in Aircraft Management, it takes a few seconds only.

I heard on the MA2 the smart controller will lag on the live feed when its being transmitted @ 1080P and the solution is to drop resolution down to 720P - Is that true ?

Not true for my setup. I will hopefully never again have to use a telephone for flying the MA2. Even my iPad Mini seems too cumbersome after that SC upgrade. Will only be used for the MM.
