So angry with DHL

Update time:
DHL says that all DJI drone imports now have to go through the formal Customs clearing process, which requires:

- If imported by a person, they need to either send copies of the front and back of their SS card or the first page of their most recent tax return
- If imported using a business EIN, they need to send in a copy of their IRS EIN paperwork or first page of company tax return

Of course, I've read lots of people on this forum who got theirs without jumping through these hoops.

Given that I don't trust DHL with my data at this point, I had them ship it back to DJI and worked with my credit card company to get a refund. Guess I'll just wait until they are available from retailers. Argh!
Order through DronePoint Canada. Yluo will need to pay the import fees but you will get it.

I got a neo and air 3s combo with no problem or contact. I'm hoping to buy the N3 headset with a N3 controller. Then if there's a problem I'll wait for BB I guess.

Could be a long wait. There's a good chance that the newest DJI products may never be sold by Best Buy or Amazon again, and will only be available direct from DJI in China, if at all.

Cormech... I took your recomendation and ordered the Air 3 S fly more last thursday. Received the Drone yesterday as promised. They told me they have plenty in stock!

I also ordered from DronePoint. Order placed on Friday afternoon, drone arrived Tuesday afternoon :)
The key to your success is ordering from Canada which has no problems receiving stuff from China, and the U.S. has no problems receiving stuff from Canada, only China, so it sails right through!

Nice workaround!

WOW. I would not be happy with that. I've been waiting for Best Buy to get them in, and my patience is waning.

Well, i just went there from a US IP, and got this pricing (without selecting country anywhere on the page):

@bkushner I believe you were getting Canadian pricing for some reason. And where did it indicate "American price"? I can't find that on the page.

Could you post a screenshot?

Those are US$prices (there is a menu selection at the top of the web browser on a computer). Otherwise it would say:

DJI Air 3S (DJI RC-N3)
Sale priceFrom $1,439.00 CAD

Last thursday I purchased another Air 3 S flymore combo RC2 and that price was the same as my first purchase.. $1550.00 with shipping. Received this one in 3 days.

Ordered the air 3s from DJI. Its been sitting in NY customs since last thursday. Just got an email from dhl they say that i need to provide proof that the product wasnt manufactured using forced labor and also documentation thru all transportation. Or request an RTO (return to sender) which Customs also has to approve. a ten minute online chat with DJI and they are handling the situation for me and will keep me informed. Should hear from them again in a day or two. We shall see.

But i will say that DJI support has been outstanding with every contact I have had with them. Just glad I have the Mini 4 to fall back on but would really like the 3s. Quite a bit of wind where I am.

You'll now likely have to replace your order and buy from a Canadian reseller, to receive it in the U.S..

you are probably correct. After my chat with DJI yesterday, they must have contacted dhl directly as my package is now on its way back to DJI. I should get an email today updating me on what happens next. If they send a new one i will wait but afraid it will end up in customs hell as well. I may chat again today and ask for the refund and order elsewhere. We shall see
