Are we keeping track of the details of this launch so a few years from now we don't forget how it went?
So we don't pretend the launch was "fine" even though the product was not ready (80%).....like the Mavic 3?

DJI got a lot of things right and the drone is actually pretty decent from what I have seen and heard. Yes, it is now the flagship drone at DJI.

All capable DJI drones get software updates; that's 100% the case. Bug fixes, minor issues addressed, sometimes new features added; this is common.

So let's talk about the Mavic 4 Pro and why this launch is not something DJI should be proud of even though it's not all their fault; so for the record:

1. ND Filters (fail)
2. No Cine, No ProRes (fail)
3. No US launch (major fail)
4. Pricing (in the middle of the tariffs debacle)
5. Active track: what's wrong with it? Where is the called RC Track?
6. others?

I disagree with your premise that this launch is not something DJI should be proud of. The multitude of improvements over the current Mavic 3 Pro are indisputable. They had me at up to 10 minutes more flight time and 2 more stops of dynamic range, and Free Panorama on all 3 cameras. Still can't get my hands on one, though! LOL! The RC Pro 2 controller is a massive improvement over the RC 2 and the RC Pro. User error appears to explain the poor range reports. The antennas are either left completely folded or are rotated down but being pointed at the horizon, rather than the drone, because the screen is wrongly being tilted but the controller is kept level. The raised screen still needs to be kept parallel to the controller and both must be tilted up together for best signal range.

The so called "fails" are not fails at all. The eND filter is not ready for release, so its cost was deducted from the Creator Combo price. Multiple fixed ND filters are about the same price, and no one will buy them after the eND is available. 3rd party manufacturers will fill that void, if one can't wait. ALL-I is the replacement for ProRes, without incurring the cost of an Apple ProRes license. No U.S. launch with the current U.S. Customs holds and uncertain tariffs is not a reason delay international release everywhere else.

I would like to have seen an 8" screen as I use a 10.5" right now but otherwise it's a dream come true. And the increased price sucks and except for a few that got it, there hasn't been a launch yet for the USA but you can always pick one up in Canada shipped to the USA if you pay $4750 total. Better deal than here in the USA if you pay taxes. The warranty would still be valid in Canada one would think.

The RC Pro 2 screen is 7” so as not to increase the controller size below, so they can collapse and fit together.

I had a completed and paid for Creator Combo order confirmation email at $3945 from Amazon Canada, shipped and sold by Amazon, until they unilaterally claimed credit card fraud, and cancelled my order to protect my account, and refused to reinstate the order when I told them it was me, and I was not disputing the order but confirming it! They no longer stock it.

Now no one in Canada has the Creator Combo in stock.

Good points, I'll add them to the list:

1. US influencers had drones and released their reviews to a zero audience.
2. Inventory made it to US suppliers leading to inconsistent pricing and increased grey market conditions.
3. Lack of launch in America led to increased in-market apathy due to perceptions China is snubbing the US.
4. RC Pro 2 antenna design and application?

It's still early in the launch so the jury is still out on some things but I'm sure DJI has already moved on to the Mavic 5 Pro. Somebody has to keep track of this else they get a pass and this launch was *not good.*. If this were an iPhone it would be a disaster. Bottom line is the launch was *late* and they missed their ideal window and it has cost them. A press release that says "We have no idea when the US launch will occur" is product suicide. I know we are making the best of it because times are tough all over but I suspect the fallout is not yet over.

it's on backorder for 3 days when I last looked.

From what I have read so far, the Mavic 4 Pro has been a successful launch. Some are disappointed about the eND filters but they are supposed to be released soon. If you are in the US you are likely going to deal with increased prices but everywhere else the drone is the same price as the Mavic 3 Pro was for the same configuration at its launch.

It is true that many authorized retailers do not have the Creator combo in stock here in Canada but it is available directly from the DJI store for delivery in a few days (June 2nd if ordered today) at USD $3459.

I live in Canada and your right for some reason Canada did has not been shipped the Creator Combo hower the EU and the UK have them? I purchased the Mavic 4 Fly more Combo and purchased the RC Pro 2 and the 2400W charger and a set of propellers separately. I think it cost me a more than the Creator would have cost. My disappointment is the DJI 04+ 10 bit HDR Video Transmission that is no better than my Air 3S. I get constant messages for interference and week signal even in non-urban areas with no obstacles to interfere with the signal. The photo images and the video quality are outstanding and the RC Pro 2 is a must have as well as the 240W charger. I have a power bank in my SUV to use with the 240W charger to keep my drone batteries charged.I have pre-ordered the Freewell "All Day" ND filters that should arrive in mid-June. This is the best drone I have owned thus far.

How would you go about warranty service in Canada from the US?

Probably would need a Canadian address and a willing inhabitant to send it back to them to do the processing. May also need to have it listed in their account name.
Not worth that much effort in my little mind.
I’ll suffer along with the old stuff that works fine.

If I recall your country of origin is imbedded when you register your drone. I think the drone registration number can be cross referenced withe the serial number.

So let's talk about the Mavic 4 Pro and why this launch is not something DJI should be proud of even though it's not all their fault; so for the record:
You are mistaken ... the launch went well.
The product was good and people are buying and flying it.
1. ND Filters (fail)
DJI detected a fault and decided to fix it before releasing that accessory shortly before launch.
Should they have gone ahead and released a flawed product?
2. No Cine, No ProRes (fail)
Not a fail at all.
You are ignoring the fact that DJI have replaced ProRes with All-I for users that need that sort of thing.
3. No US launch (major fail)
Who's fault is that?
Certainly not DJI's.
4. Pricing (in the middle of the tariffs debacle)
Pricing ?? It costs the same as the previous model it's replacing.
How is that a fail?
5. Active track: what's wrong with it?
You list this as a fail, but ask what's wrong with it?
Reviewers report big improvements with it.
6. others?

1. US influencers had drones and released their reviews to a zero audience.
<newsflash> The internet crosses international borders.
3. Lack of launch in America led to increased in-market apathy due to perceptions China is snubbing the US.
And DJI is responsible for misunderstanding of some US potential customers?
Somebody has to keep track of this else they get a pass and this launch was *not good.*.
The premise behind this thread was a big FAIL.

I got my Mavic 4 Pro and its awesome however my country wasn't slammed with 135% illegal tariffs. I guess that pissed off the Chinese government?
