So I bought a used Mavic 2 Pro from the auction website. I finally got the bird up in the air and took some pictures.
I checked the focus and did variation of apertures and shutter speeds. The wind was none existent.

The picture is super sharp in the centre to f8, after which diffraction kicks in.

The main thing consistent is the bottom right and bottom left corners of the image are busy and off focus.

The seller says this is normal. He also says that this is a quality control issue from DJI.
Being it second hand I cannot give it to DJI.

Is the seller correct, is this a normal issue with the Mavic 2 pro, or is this a rare thing and it needs to be returned?

Thanks in advance

One wonders why he sold it. It sounds like a lens or sensor problem.

He has just admitted, via email that he knew there was a problem before the sale and that he used a workaround.
So I have just asked him to return it for a full refund.

If you bought it on e-bay , they will insist the the funds are held until you are happy with the purchase. I was forced to return a sold item on e-bay for an Osmo Mobile 2 because the buyer could not understand how to pair the Osmo with the DJI Mimo app. I tried and tried to educate the buyer but he just was too dumb to figure it out and asked for his money back and I was forced to refund him by e-bay, Pay Pal. E bay's protection of both seller and buyer are very good this way.

Mine us sharp edge to edge at 5.6. Yours may be defective.

Mine was definitely defective. The previous owner claimed that post sale. I have had a refund so all is well.
My new drone from DJI is sharp edge to edge, but.......
....It has white pixels, so this one is going back.
