As Meta 4 said , even if you left the registration number on it should not affect you in anyway, sometimes it good to leave some video in the cash to show that the drone was working fine when you sold it.

When he goes to sign up with his own info , he will have to get his own registration and you can still use that old one on your next drone purchase.
