I'm not sure if this will be of interest to anyone here but thought it worth posting since I've been waiting for this from Sony, they've finally released some software to allow their cameras to be used as a webcam:

Support is pretty good including a good number of their e-mount cameras, some a-mount cameras and a few of their fixed cameras including the RX, WX and HX series.
