Southern Right Whale and calf

I spied this female and her calf less than 300m off shore this weekend. Some surfers and a lifeguard also spied her - she did not seem to enjoy them investigating at such a close range...

I was waiting for the dramatic end to the video... but Mrs whale seems to have been quite well behaved...
