If memory serves me correctly, service ceiling refers to the altitude that an aircraft can only climb 100 feet per minute maximum at full power. So, climbing performance will obviously be reduced, but can still get up higher.

Very impressive !! Only 11 thousand feet short of Mt. Everest . Were you using oxygen bottles ? Pretty thin air up there.!

Thanks! 18K is pretty high, but my personal oxygen threshold is above 24K.
