You won't get that distance because DJI does that under laboratory conditions. The manual of the Air 3 says that the max flight distance is 32 km. At what speed do you get this range?
Max flight distance can only be achieved by maximizing Air 3 flight time to 46 minutes, which requires:The manual of the Air 3 says that the max flight distance is 32 km. At what speed do you get this range?
That's to achieve max flight time, but that's quite different from max distance.Max flight distance can only be achieved by maximizing Air 3 flight time to 46 minutes
This is not a question about BVLOS, but a question about the best efficiency. You could fly around your home point and travel 32 km.I know i am old (65) and my eyes aint what they used to be but for me 22Km (13+miles) is clearly BVLOS.
That's an average speed of 50.2 km/h. It seems a little high for the N mode.
Where does it say this? The manual of the Air 3 says that the max flight distance is 32 km. At what speed do you get this range?
But is this correct? In the Air 3 manual v1.6 on page 48: the maximum flight speed is 12 m/s.
That is 43.2 km/h in N mode.
OK ... I think I've found the issue. In the Air 3 manual v1.6 on page 48: the maximum flight speed is 12 m/s.
Have you tested this?Usually RTH speed is optimal. Little below N max.
This morning I did a flight in Mode N with full forward pitch. The speed was at 43 km/h +/- 0.4 km/h.But is this correct?
I explained why I'm doubtful in my previous post.
Was obstacle avoidance disabled or not? This morning I did a flight in Mode N with full forward pitch. The speed was at 43 km/h +/- 0.4 km/h.
