I'm afraid I'll have to share this as a story because I stopped recording right before this happened.
Long story short my gimbal seemed to do a calibration while flying. I thought it was falling out of the sky. If anyone has ever seen what a gimbal does while the drone is falling that's exactly what it did today while I was flying. It stopped all the sudden with a warning that said "gimbal obstructed".
Out of my 90 hours of flying I've never seen this before.
Now I'm not sure if this was a calibration or what happened. All I know is I could see things on my screen that I never have before. For example I saw the top/underside of the drone where the camera hangs. Pretty sure I saw the leg at one point but the camera was twisting and turning so fast I couldn't tell.
Anyone know what might have caused this?

Yep. Sounds like it decided it needed to reinitialize mid-flight. I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again. Was it a particularly windy day? Did you have the gimbal cover on? Might you have hit something (like a Junebug? haha). When you brought it back and restarted it, was all normal?

Yea I kinda agree with you. It wasn't windy but every time it would gust I'd get a wind warning(my app said between 5-8mph wind). The gimbal cover wasn't on. At the time I thought I had hit a bird as I was 250 feet in the air (must have been a jitterbug lol). When I brought it back it acted like it never happened. No gimbal damage so I guess that's good.
