Sun with iPad & IPhone X

In the Arizona sun I just can’t see my screen. I have a hood for my iPad and one on order for iPhone X.

Question: Can I sit in my car with moon roof open or closed and still fly as long as I maintain VLOS?

Mmm, technically ‘Yes’ but... with the roof closed how will you hear approaching light aircraft etc. You’ll also be restricting your peripheral vision when inside a vehicle.

I'm in Arizona myself - and I have yet to have any aircraft approach anywhere I'm flying without setting off the ADS-B "AirSense" notifications.

This is possibly because I live in an area with a 300' ceiling on the PHX Sky Harbor east approach, but the local helicopters also trigger that notification.

It's the wrong season for ballooning here, too.

I have tried this twice and yes, i lost drone connection. Thankfully my Mavic Air 2 start then just hovering, so is safe, but i had to get out of the car to get acceptance of remote control again. The car is a Faraday cage. I could not believe it first and tried again, same thing happened. I have a Kia Sportage.
