Ive been using this system for 4 months now and been all over Australia with it.

Mine is supposed to show up on my doorstep tomorrow or the next day. May not be able to give a review for a week or so as the temp has been 6* degrees and snowing the past week.

I have had mine for two weeks but have only used it twice because it has been snowing and when not snowing the temps have ranged from 6* to 25*. Tried using it in 25* weather and my hands froze pretty quickly and I was not able to feel the joysticks on my controller. The last couple of days have been 40* and 45* so I took the case outside with my MP to see if I noticed any difference using the boosted system. My house is surrounded by 120' to 130' tall trees and I usually get a glitchy video feed when the MP is 300' up and out about 1,000' in any direction. During my last test I brought the MP up to 300' and sent it out 2,500' and the signal was still very strong. I only brought it back because I kept getting high wind warnings and since I do not have a GPS tracker on the MP I didn't want to take the chance of it going down in the trees where I probably would never find it.

I like the fact that I can just grab one case that has everything I need (four batteries, the MP, iPad Mini 4, sun shade, set of camera filters, card reader for data transfer, two sets of spare props, rubber landing pad, cleaning cloths, and a few other items) and my collapsible tripod and I am good to go.

If I want to go bare bones then I just gram my 5.5" Crystal Sky, the MP and controller. For me this purchase was well worth it.

It's absolutely fantastic, I'm in a similar situation to you. Tree's wifi etc. The tactical is amazing.
I've also bought the Atlas which Attaches straight to the rc. It's a boosted patch/omni system all integrated into one unit that's electronically boosted.
It's pretty nose heavy when holding the rc with it attached so just use a lanyard and you're good to go. I go from one bar signal to full bars when I activate the Atlas, it's a very portable and powerful unit. Hats off to James and his brother at Titan drones. Those guys are awesome and always help out as soon as you have a question.

"designed for those who use their Mavic for critical operations and need an all in one solution"

It seems it wasn't designed for everybody . I can see its use for law enforcement , search and rescue , surveying and similar operations .
Ah, I see you read the info on it as well. High Fives

Just looks too militarised to me. It must be my European aversion against weapons an military style. I'd rather have it peaceful and in nature!
Does this work for you? Just kidding, Could not help myself. Inspired by James of Tatin Drone. Tactical Ground Station.Very knowledgeable. Even helped me get a part to finish my own build. I can see his unit evolving into something much much more.Wait and see. Sorry to butt in.
Happy and Safe flying.
