Here are a few pics of how dang bright the lights are.. sorry for the quality, remote one hand, ipad in other.

Pure darkness, about 4-5 feet in air, then about 20 feet in air, then directly under..

Yes, that’s one strong bean of a light. After switching off light before each flight, auctually increased my flight time. Go to settings, switch light off and you’ll see longer flights.

It has to be pretty dark in my experience. I started flying at dusk last night and was a little surprised they did not come on, but they did once I landed and it was quite dark.
 
Mine actually come on when there is just slight darkness. Like enough to make a difference in light but still not to the point where ur fighting to see cuz of darkness.
