I think many people are confused in thinking that part 107 is just for flying toy phantom and mavic drones, but it's not.
Not far away in the future, there will be a time where unmanned pilots will be running drone flight missions 100s of miles away. Because these will be more or less flight software mapping missions, knowing how to push and pull a joystick will not be as important as knowing weather telementries and how to fly around and avoid. Also, if the drone were to crash land somewhere, knowing how to locate it will be important as well. Not to mention airspace being equally as important.
But yes, I do see that this will become a job that a really smart bookworm housewife would be able to do better than some AMA flyer.
