The penultimate location on Day 2 of our October 2025 NC500 Roadtrip, and a place we hadn't previously visited, the Pass of the Cattle, the wonderful Bealach na Ba!

Almost perfect weather - a bit cold and windy - and 200 miles of driving, but worth every second to visit such an amazing place in such conditions, especially given it was the last week of October!

We captured the in car footage using the Osmo Pocket3, with Lee holding it steady - good job Hubby - and the aerial footage with the AIR3, which sadly suffered a prop issue, causing it to descend rapidly, thankfully I was able to get it back for a close in landing, but it was moving too quicky, and despite me best efforts was damaged in the landing, so it is off for repair now - shame it was only a month out of its Care Refresh insurance!

The views from above the Bealach are amazing, Raasay, Skye - Quiraing and Cuillins - along with Arrochar, and the Isles of Eigg and Rum are all easily visible in the late afternoon light.

A return trip is definitely needed, such an amazing place, and to have had it so quiet was a blessing...

Cor, squeaky *** time on those roads. Beautiful scenery expertly captured. Very well presented and as always masterful (or should I say mistressful) editing. Love it.

Thanks hon, yeah, it was a wee bit tight in places, fun to drive though, Lee wasnt so happy, getting thrown around while trying to hold the gimbal camera steady... Thanks for the kind words on my editing and capture, it is very much appreciated...

Another magnificent video! You think they could have made that road straight through rather than all those tight curves lol. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the entire video.

Thanks hon... Straighten the road, where would the fun be in that! The twisties make it more fun to drive :)

Well Suzanne another good one under the belt.
Good bit of windy road for Lee to practice on and not many around to stop you from capturing some footage.
Funny how we always seem to be a couple of days on the wrong side of care refresh isn’t it? Mind you I have also used that as an excuse to buy a newer model

Thanks hon, yeah, trying that approach with him atm, but he aint biting yet ;)

Yeah... but we now have a treadmill coming for xmas, so no new drones this year... TBH it wasnt planned to get a treadmill, but a good offer and a chance to try it out yesterday meant we took advantage of Black Friday deal, and if it lets us both run in safety through the cold and dark winter, then it is a good investment...

🤣 this is the first step towards 'fun runs'. Be on your guard.
So I gather you'll set up the OSMO and film the treadmill workouts.

Lol, I have been running since February, we both have, completed the Couch to 5K challenge - took me a lot longer than 9 weeks - and am enjoying the runs, have even done a proper race an 3 Parkruns so far, want to do more! I shall never be fast, but if it enhances my fitness and mobility, and safeguards my future health, then it is worth the effort... Not sure anyone would want to watch me sweating on a treadmill, but I have filmed a couple of our outdoor runs, idnt get much watches on YT, but I didnt do them for that, but to document where we were at that point in time, so we can look back in future...
