How often do you see a glacier this close? Glacial ice can range in age from several hundred to several hundreds of thousands years. But sadly they are disappearing fast due to global warming. I'm afraid our grand children will never get to see them. Breiðárlón is a glacier lake at the south end of the Icelandic glacier Vatnajökull. The glacier calving into the lake is a part of mighty Icelandic glacier Vatnajökull at the south end of the Vatnajökull National Park.

I guess it's most probably the bottom mud stirred up by the tour duck boats that frequent the waters around the lagoon.

Massive glacier... But, as you said, probably not for much longer. [emoji22] Incredible textures and terrain. Nicely done!

Great video once again.
Glaciers would be awesome to film, not many in Oz.
The overheads looking down at the ice looked like elephant hide.
At 2:50 all that was needed was a great chunk coming down from the face and hitting the water.

Since you mentioned, it does look like elephant skin. I would be very lucky to film a chunk of ice falling into the water.
