If you can aford it, people using Atlas amp and flying in city look to have resolve interferences problem.

I calibrate my compass if I move 100 miles from the last time I calibrated it. Other than that, only if it asked me to and it never does. As for the rest (IMU, Camera), I don't see the need to do that overtime you fly. If you do, then maybe there is an issue with the quad itself.

I get heavy interference from the metal. It’ll ask to move drone or calibrate. I don’t normally calibrate unless it ask but with all the new construction & metal in the ground. I get asked often.

You have FCC tx power which usually is good enough. If you fly without obstructions between you and your Mavic, you should get decent range. Just make sure you point the antenna correctly (the flat part facing the drone, not the tip!). See if it's enough for you before spending the money on antenna mods
