This is a loop over the ridge lines of the west end of South Mountain Park, a 20,000 acre municipal park on the south end of Phoenix. I caught this just at first light, using my new ND32 filter.
The M2P is my first drone, and I'm still learning the techniques of flying, filming, and post-processing. This is one of my early Litchi flights, which does create much smoother maneuvers for filming long segments. Being able to virtually simulate the flight and tune it, using Google Earth has really helped, and I'm been amazed at how close the simulations track to the real flight. On this one, I got close enough to the mountain on one turn, that the collision avoidance paused for a moment. I've adjusted the Litchi mission accordingly and look forward to trying again.
