Thoughts on using a non-dedicated phone with a Mavic Pro & FT Aviator

I've got a Mavic Pro and have been successfully using a dedicated Samsung S5 and a Samsung Tab A with it. I recently received an FT Aviator joystick that requires a phone with at least Android 8. Since I'd like to get a new cell phone for normal use (thinking Samsung 8+ or 9+) I'm wondering if there would be many problems using it with my FT/Mavic setup.

I'd appreciate any comments on using a "regular use" cell phone with sim card etc as the flight app operations for Go4 or Litchi etc. Thanks, Rob

No there's no problem, Its not ideal but then the majority of users probably don't have a dedicated device for their drones.

I used my Samsung 8+ with my Mavic pro and never had a problem
