Could this be a reflection on how Americans feel about Chinese manufacturing and ownership?

Is this what a potential legal fight might look like for DJI?

Well, under H.R.7521 - Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, the law that is being used to ban TicToc, a president can declare pretty much any app that is supported and controlled by an adversary as banned in the US. This could eventually lead to DJI Go 4 and another flight applications being banned in the US. Do you think that’s why some people of power involved with UAS have been buddying up with the future president? The lobbying to kill the competition has begun.

🤔I wonder if anyone has ever stuffed a PixHawk flight controller into a Mavic carcass?

SENSITIVE DATA!!!!!!!
You mean the stuff everyplace I go shopping or send my money too on the net or even walk thru the door has?
You mean the sensitive data that has been bought and sold almost as if it was a commodity by large corporations for years now?
Look, As a Veteran I am as American as you can get, and I understand that China is a communist country, What I am missing here is...When exactly did they become our "Adversary"!
I mean we seem to be pretty happy about our agreements with China when we pack into the Walmart. I suppose it is true that china is selling stuff at a cheaper price than we could here BUT what would we do with all that extra money? My guess, Spend it at the WALMART!

Would love to, would you know if any of the "display model only" drones have real motors? I would use that as a frame

Here's the thing that pisses me off about this stuff.
No longer do we need proof of wrongdoing. We just need accusations.

Until someone PROVES that the Chinese are collecting and using the data from TikTok or DJI, they should shut the F%*## up about it. Spend the resources to find the crime instead of banning stuff that isn't harmful just to help one of the cronies establish a "new" entity to replace the banned one(s).

I'm going to side with whatever SCOTUS says. If the highest court in the land says the government can ban an app without informing the public why then I'll likely go with that. Have to read the opinions. So far I haven't found any other objective evidence but I haven't really looked so hard at this one. Because I don't know what this means exactly for you and me; afaik the government is not telling the citizens they can't have the app on their phone and post or doom scroll on it. Clearly I would object to that.

I wish they would ban it here *most of the stuff i see on it is pointless self centred c**p.

*I don't have an account which makes that statement even worse.

It's back. My guess is this didn't have to be done but I still don't like the fact that the government has the power over an app. We don't know the all the details here but it seems like the government can decide whether an app is available in the play store or the App Store *and* they can decide if an app can be opened and used. This impacts not only future users but also current and past users. Not a fan of that. We need to work on fixing that.
