IMHO you're gonna love it.
I bought another RC for my MPP & Titan mod'ed the RC for the Titan Switch. I then bought a M2P and @Thunderdrones mod'ed the RC. I always use the mod'ed RC with the 9db whips. They improve reception on both units over the stock IMHO.

I sure love my Titan Switch system.
I use the boosted Omni antennas more than the directional antenna on it.
I also have mine mounted on a tripod so the only thing in my hand is the RC.

does it only mout to full size tripods? I have smaller ones it wont work on

You just need to buy the T-Lock assy (the one for a Phantom 3) and mount it to your tripod.

I also have the Titan Switch Antenna system for both my M2P and my Inspire 2 remotes. Had James do the modifications on both of them. I also have it with my Cendence remote control and I mostly use the omni directional antennas more than the directional panel as I mostly fly in congested areas.
In my opinion it gives me better distances and video feed with both of them.
