Told I was a spam trying to make an account on FPV drone pilots

Hello, everyone, a bit off- topic here: Recently I tried to join FPV drone pilots (forum), as I am getting into FPV racing, but was rejected because it thought I was a "Spam". It says I need to contact the administrator to get my account un-blocked, but how exactly does one do this when you can't click on anything on the website, and there is no contact info provided?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Same thing happened to me. I took it personally until I realized it seems to happen a lot. Must be some kind of automated action.

Once I figured out how to contact an admin without being able to log into my account, it was taken care of right away.

It's very frustrating and unfortunate when this happens, but in the end we're all much better off having these filters than not.

Since we all try to use the same label across the different forums, perhaps the spam filters can do a quick check to see that we are duplicating.

I have experienced same trying to join a couple automotive forums. One admin actually called me scum. All I did was post a link to my Truck Blog in my signature. Since it was a truck form it's what one does is share their rig details. And there is nothing spam about my blog.
There are some forums that will not allow even mentioning the competition. Try being on the Escort Radar Detector forum and even use the name Uniden in a sentence. Instant ban.
One of said forums is using software filters shooting first and making you jump through hoops to confirm.

Many sites will do that if you are using a VPN, especially if that VPN has a lot of hits on Stop Forum Spam or Scamalytics. Try accessing without the VPN.

It is not that so much as it is the amount of SPAM is so overwhelming that automatic filters are used to reduce the workload for the staff. The alternative would be to not filter new members and have a spiderweb of spam posters that use up forum resources.

Unfortunately most spammers use VPN’s and Data Centers to mask their location and IP address so those services get flagged as spam sources after being used many times to spread spam.

Don’t take it personally if you get tagged as a spammer when first joining a forum. Use the contact information to reach out to the administrator and let them know you are not a spammer.
