Couldn't find a thread regarding top speed records, figured I would start one. Today was the first time I switched over to Sport mode and managed to hit 58.2 MPH flying with some wind. My previous record was 47 MPH in my Phantom 3 Pro so it was kind of terrifying. I'm sure some of you have more guts then me and stronger winds.

I was able to push about 59mph in sport mode with a nice tailwind off the ocean the other night. Didn't ever see 60. :( WICKED FAST!!

Not too fast with the Mavic but I did over 107mph with my Inspire, andScreenshot_20161101-050103.pngScreenshot_20161101-050055.png recorded over 94 with my P4. Hard to believe though!

Don't believe the Go app for correct speed

Is this accurate? I thought top speed was 40 mph.

Radar gun anyone?

Yeah I would love to see that 107 MPH Inspire footage. Why is the app not an accurate measurement for speed? I'm guessing it uses GPS to determine speed? I've used that kind of app on a phone in vehicles and its usually within 5% or so of actual speed. But yeah I guess this thread relies on more of the honor system I suppose. Looks like so far, 66.8MPH by kmaluo is the leader.

Gps is usually pretty accurate . It's used to tune my speedo healer on my motorcycle

Pretty easy to trick the app by putting the drone in the car while recording.
I'd love to see any actual footage of an inspire flying at 100mph

My Phantom would lose altitude a bit when speeding along. Does the Mavic have the same issue in sport mode?

I'll check tomorrow on the controller, but it's definitely not visible when observing flight.
