I travel a lot and I've started to pack the drone on my trips. Wonder what others do when you are in a new area and see a great place to fly, do you park on the side of the road and start flying (obviously not on a highway)? I live in Ky and was driving the backroads home from NC and saw several places I would have liked to stop at and fly but didn't have the time available, and wasn't really sure if I could just pull over. Is this a silly question?

I try to find places where public access is allowed and at the same time are usually void of crowds. I don't have an issue with pulling over to the side of the road in a rural areas but I don't take long flights. Most of my photography revolves around stills, and I usually have a DSLR out as well. Here in the west just pulling over (edit: being out of place) peaks drivers interest and I don't want to come off as someone planning to trespass.
