Travelling to US with MM

I am visiting Florida in May and wondering if it's worth bringing my MM.
What are the rules on these for the US?

If you keep the weight under 250g and don't fly in controlled airspace, then you won't have to be concerned about registering.

There are plenty of places to fly. Some city/counties have a drone ban, such as Tampa, but many counties like where I live are easy going about flying drones. My county has a class D airport though.

So, it looks like I'll be fine then.
I'll leave the Spark at home and finally admit to the wife I bought a new drone.
