However when watching the video on a 4K screen I still notice a huge gap in image quality between the 28 mm and the 70 /168 mm lenses as opposed to what people said
very very nice. the dynamic range is mind blowing!

The long tele isn't too bad.I still notice a huge gap in image quality between the 28 mm and the 70 /168 mm lenses as opposed to what people said
I just get close in with my drone instead as this was shot at 22mm.The long tele isn't too bad.

And results in a completely different kind of shot as you'd expect.I just get close in with my drone instead as this was shot at 22mm.
the background you are right. And results in a completely different kind of shot as you'd expect.
Sure, there is a quality difference between 28 mm, 70 mm and 168 mm lenses, I can see it in the very first tests I did with my Mavic 4. However, 70 mm is very usable, 168 mm is ok with some editing. But, what bothers me is the quite poor AF and AF tracking with those focal lengths.
I hope so too but the Mavic 4 Pro needs to loose 163 grams. That seems quite a lot and probably means to redesign a new gimbal And / Or reduce the battery capacity)Hope that DJI comes out with a Mavic 4 Classic, with just the main camera, to reduce the weight and cost.
Put out a C1-compliant Mavic 4 that way.

Dropping the two tele cameras or reducing the battery won't save that much weight as explained in these two posts.I hope so too but the Mavic 4 Pro needs to loose 163 grams. That seems quite a lot and probably means to redesign a new gimbal And / Or reduce the battery capacity)
For a Mavic 4 without the tele cameras to come in under 900g, it would have to lose 164 grams.I would consider a Mavic 4 Classic if it came out next year without the tele cameras and it fit under 900 grams.
It's not realistic to expect that DJI would do a full remodeling of the whole drone to produce an economy model. They'd probably have to remove that giant gimbal, maybe reduce the size of the aircraft and use smaller batteries, so you get only 43 or 44 minutes of flight time.
you tell it like it is! very good.Dropping the two tele cameras or reducing the battery won't save that much weight as explained in these two posts.

The difference in weight between the Mavic 3 classic and the Mavic 3 pro is only 53 grams.
So even if DJI released a Mavic 4 with only the main camera, it's not going to be <900g.It's not realistic to expect that DJI would do a full remodeling of the whole drone to produce an economy model. They'd probably have to remove that giant gimbal, maybe reduce the size of the aircraft and use smaller batteries, so you get only 43 or 44 minutes of flight time.
And the batteries for the 4 are listed as only 3g heavier so there's not much to gain there.
Nice contrast of sailing vessels. Pun intended! The long tele isn't too bad.
