Trying out the ActiveTrack mode while riding a bike and toddler carrier

Took my bicycle out w/ the toddler carrier and tried out the ActiveTrack mode while using the Trace option, the tracking is great until at the end where the tree blocked the site of me and the Mavic stopped itself. Any tips or suggestions? I suppose if I fly closer or even directly above myself then the chance of being blocked is less. Another option is fly lower but I run into risk of flying into tall trees and light poles. Nevertheless it was fun. It'd be a fun feature in a wide open area!
