Unable to reset Mavic's RC via DJI assistant 2

Hi fellows, due to some issue (the RC is no longer able to emit beeps) with my Mavic's RC, I wish to factory-reset the RC (in the hopes that the issue goes away). However, when I try to do so via the DJI Assistant 2 software, I get the following error:

May I know if there's any other approach to factory resetting the RC without going through the Assistant software?

There is no reset procedure for the RC.

Might want to refresh firmware, or jsut be happy about the beeps being gone (most of us would do almost anything to get rid of them...)

I tried this, i.e. downgrading from latest to second-latest firmware version, as well as simply refreshing the firmware...all to no avail.
