i have heard discussions regarding updating software, and some comments about including batteries when updating, but I've never seen how to do it. Help
You'll be prompted to update batteries when you power up (with a message such as "firmware mismatch"). It only takes a few seconds. Updates are not frequent for batteries.
When a battery firmware update is available, the battery that's currently installed in the Mavic will be updated when you update the aircraft firmware. For spare batteries, you'll need to manually update them one-by-one.
When using a battery that needs to be updated, you'll see an "Inconsistent Firmware Found" message in DJI GO (like this). If you don't see that message, the firmware does not need to be updated.
The battery firmware is rarely updated. When DJI releases an update, you'll see it mentioned in the release notes.
