Urgent Question: DJI Spark on overseas flight.

Good day. Can anyone in the States maybe help me with a question about flying with a Spark in hand luggage from JFK to London. My sister has bought her son a Spark combo, and someone is prepared to bring it with them. My cousin was in New York just a few days ago, and he says that you must place the drone in the hold luggage. Airport security has boards all over stating that. Is that true, because the person bringing it with, only has hand luggage. They are going for a business trip, so no suitcases. They leave this Friday, 20 July, so i need to know as soon as possible. Thanks guys.

Just put it in your carry on luggage. Do not check as lithium batteries can be in checked luggage. I traveled last summer with a Mavic and Spark in carry on. No issues.
