Hey there, new to the site and droning, I have a magic pro platinum and love it, only a half a dozen flights but love the footage. I’m in BC, heading to palm dessert for a trip, any ideas of where I can get simplified rules for that area? Want to take the drone with me for a couple hikes and general pics but don’t want to cause a $&@& storm when I show up with drone in tow. Any thoughts?

Firstly - you will need to register it: Information for International UAS Operators in the United States

Then you will need to follow the recreational flight rules. If you use the guidelines on the FAA website, even though they list some things that are not requirements, you should be fine:
