Looking for a USB-C mic that enables audio recording while I am doing screen recording on RC Pro. I do not care much about the quality of audio, it is for internal voices notes only. Preferably compact, travel-friendly, no-frills, single-piece solution.

Thanks for the links.
I am looking for a non-wireless, non-wired mic, but a mic that directly plugs in to USB-C socket. Audio quality is not important, simplicity is.

Take a look a the Movo X1-Mini (Amazon link). It has both 3.5mm and USB-C connectors. It also has microphone covers that will reduce wind noise when recording outdoors.

You don't need to limit yourself to USB-C only microphones. There are plenty of cheap USB-C to audio adapters on Amazon

Hang on.
I have a DJI RC Pro that came with my Mavic 3T and when screen recording, it has a built in microphone and I am able to make audio notes while screen recording.
I think the microphone is on one side of the data ports on the bottom edge of the remote.
Audio quality isnt great - i am not sure if its the audio bitrate of the screen recording application, or the microphone itself.

- Actually i just checked. AAC Mono 96kbps so audio isnt being recorded at modern CD quality, but still a higher bitrate than we used to call a good music quality mp3 (64kbps per channel) so I am not sure.
It could be the recording program is recording at a higher bitrate than the digital audio stream coming in from the microphone.

Here is a recording of me testing the drone when i first got it to see how the thermal camera worked a couple of days ago at our city new years eve beach party.

I don't know about that. This is from DJI website. Doesn't mention anything about a mic onboard. Maybe Australia gets a different model? Sure would like to see a pic of the bottom of your controller1735830252982.png

Pictures showing model number and what i think is the microphone holes.
Also model number and this came with a mavic 3 enterprise thermal

Ah. I bought mine about 3 years ago. It's a model 510. Yours is 510B. Nor does mine have the 4 small holes. Odd the DJI website doesn't mention the microphone either

I got this one

Update: The one above does not work due to DJI USB-C protocols. Saramonic has since issued one specifically for the Osmo Pocket. However, I choose to just go with the DJI Mic Mini and keep it brand specific.

Two entirely different RC Pro versions for different drone lines.
One runs the Pilot app for Enterprise drones and the other the Fly app for Consumer drones.

This might work:
Amazon microphone.
Amazon USB converter

For a simple, no-frills solution to record internal voice notes while screen recording on the RC Pro, the Rode NT-USB Mini could be a great option. It's compact, travel-friendly, and plugs directly into a USB-C port. The sound quality is decent for voice notes and casual recordings, but it’s easy to use without needing any extra software or adapters. It's a single-piece design, so you don’t need to worry about any additional parts or setup. Another option could be the Shure MV5 or Blue Snowball iCE if you want something even smaller and equally functional.
