Using different filters and shot options

Playing around with my Freewell all day filter set. Unfortunately I did not pay attention and log what filter did what to the photos. Still I was amazed at what I was able to capture. Please visit the link.

Just save you time and hassle, you do not need ND filters for still photos. The exact same results can be achieved without ND filters.

If you have bright horizon/ background combined with dark foreground, how do you adjust for that without a gradient ND filter and no post production tricks?

He didn't say anything about no post production. AEB is your friend though in these situations
