This was a private one week astrophotography workshop with Christine Kenyon, specializing in Milky Way and star photography. This was my 2nd trip with Christine, this time with my wife Carol. We traveled from Miami to Salt Lake, then picked up Christine Kenyon, famed astrophotographer. She took over the driving. We visited Moab, Arches National Park, Canyonlands, Hanksville, Utah, Capitol Reef National Park, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, and Bryce Canyon.

Photography was done with the Nikon Z8 body, 20mm f/2.8, 24-200mm, f/4.0-6.3, Nikon D750 with 28-300mm, f/3.5-6.3, DJI Mavic Mini 4 Pro, DJI Osmo Action 5 camera, and Apple iPhone 14. Pro Max. Processing was done with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, LR Lightroom for timelapse sequences, and video processing with Adobe Premiere Pro 2025.

Stunning images of stark and beautiful territory! Did you have to get permits or permission to fly in these areas?

No permission needed. All flying areas were carefully assessed by my professional guide, who was also flying a Mini 4 Pro. Also flew with Mavic 3.

No flights in any national parks. Some parks were National Monuments where flying is legal. Hanskville is not a a park at all. You Tube is filled with Hanskville drone videos. Flights in Moab were not in Arches but across the road from the park.
