This is a 4 minute video (not including 2 minutes credits at the end) of my recent astrophotography workshop in Moab, Utah. I had a 3 day astrophotography guide show me the ropes and drive through the Arches and Canyonlands Parks. Prior to the workshop, I did some flying (DJI Mavic 3) outside of the boundaries of the parks. No drone footage was performed in the park. Only on roads and areas around the park perimeter. The video is a collection of regular park images, astrophotography images, and timelapses.

Enjoy best by clicking on 4 arrows bottom right of screen of full screen viewing. Comments always welcome.Press 4 arrows lower right corner for full screen.

Beautiful area! Nicely done. I liked the variety (photos, video, and Timelapse’s).

Fabulous Dale! Absolutely brilliant! When I saw the title I immediately thought of the iconic arch. You didn't disappoint. What a trip for you!

Hi Dale, you hadn't posted much in quite a while. Glad you're back at it.
Could you detail how you shot the night timelapses beginning at 3:45? They were very dramatic!

I have been traveling a lot. The entire month of August my wife and I did a photo workshop in Kyrgyzstan. If you want that video, write to me on private conversation.

This timelapse was filmed in Canyonlands National Park at the Green River Overlook.

Here is the information. The most important thing is to assure yourself excellent focus on a bright star. Manual focus, then recompose image.

Nikon Z8

Nikkor 20 mm, f/1.8 S lens - (prime lens), focal length 20 mm
Exposure: 13.0 seconds at f/1.8
ISO 8000

Processed timelapse in LRTimepse 6.6 using LrC (Lightroom). I used the linear gradient too in the masking tool for each part of the image. I still need to study more about blending the foreground and background images.

Feel free to ask me anything else.

Very nice compilation - excellent astro work! Did those require integration of LR, PS and others in post?

LRTimelapse.com is where I would go if you are interested. I've been doing LRTimelapse with this software since 2015. There is definitely a learning curve but his tutorials are easy to follow. LR Timelapse uses Lightroom LrC for processing. I use Photoshop on every image and Premiere pro for processing the video.

Very nicely done, loved it. Just one question, what caused those flickering black horizontal lines at around the 43 second mark?
Thanks for watching. At 0:49 the flickering black lines were my gimbal seeing the blades. I should have not rotated the gimbal so high but I was afraid to fly higher. You are seeing the propellers.

Unfortunately the usual hiccup of different sized images. Unfortunately, it doesn't look good! Too bad about the beautiful pictures you took. You could make an appealing video out of them!
