This video shot in early evening with Mavic Air 1. But not great quality because of noise, poor lighting, other issues. It is as close to strip as possible due to the airport nearby. I am just outside the NFZ according to the B4UFLY App. Shot at 60 FPS, 1080p. I also ran a "Reduce Noise" filter in software before posting.

Comments appreciated on ideas how to tweak the settings to get better results. I do not own any filters currently.

You might find it interesting to try a photograph rather than video.
Some time ago I wanted the capture a rather impressive sunset silhouette with a camera. I left the camera on automatic settings and the result was a complete surprise, the darn camera exposed the shot for long enough for it to have been near daylight shooting. It was both impressive and disappointing at the same time.
In hindsight it behave perfectly but not what I saw or wanted.

LV strip is always gonna be bizarre from any angle, format, time of day, altitude or any other parameter. Closest thing to landing on Mars while remaining on planet Earth. I personally got a good laugh out of it on a layover from east to LA but couldn't get out of there fast enough. YMMV!

Sorry, your question was technical so I'll shut up now.

Good Point!

I was never a big fan of The Strip due to pay-to-park, traffic, and over-priced casinos. I mostly stayed away except when friends came to town and was forced to take them there. In the last year the conditions have only gotten worse due to added safety concerns. I tried going again a few weeks ago to try some early morning street photos with a new camera and was afraid to get out of the car.

A few good things I can say about the area are National Parks and it will be 70 degrees beginning next week.

With McCarren Airport right on outskirts of southern end of Strip - that NFZ would cover much of the whole road up to Sahara and maybe beyond. With some of the new super high rise hotels even on that end and the Stratosphere down there - sure the restricted airspace is quite large.

Fremont Street may be a better choice since it's a long way away from the airport and has some great stuff going on since it's mostly pedestrian for a big chunk of it and not quite as tall hotel buildings.

Just a suggestion.

Yeah, Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Hoover Dam / Lake Mead, Mount Charleston should all be some good drone opportunities.

Lived in that hole for too long and DO NOT miss it one iota. Nice place for a week vaca, but living there is far different for sure. Also - STAY OUT OF NORTH LAS VEGAS. Gangland territory and not a place to be, esp after dark.

Thanks, that was my idea also. I was there a few weeks ago and still saw "Pay for Parking" and a run-down infrastructure. Mostly out of principle, I just went home.

Valley of Fire and Lake Mead do not allow drone flights. Could perhaps take a chance and start from outside the park and fly the perimeter but I was not feeling adventurous.

Very nice. That view looks familiar as we lived in Las Vegas for a few years.
