video time stamp is in GMT

Hi,
does anyone know why the videos are time stamped in GMT?
When I import the pictures and videos on my Mac (via SD card adapter and iPhoto) all pictures have the correct local time stamp (time zone where the picture was taken) but all videos come in with GMT time.
I have to go to adjust date/time and set timezone to GMT to have it show up with correct local time.

Any help appreciated
