Hi all,
I am going to visit Toronto in July and this is my first visit. I have successfully passed the exam and preparing to take my M4P to the trip. As I am not familiar with the area, I am glad if some locals or someone who are familiar with Toronto could kindly recommend some interesting drone shooting spots within 100km.
Thanks a lot!

Just the basic. Thanks a lot for your advice and of course I will stay away from airports. Would you recommend any scenic drone spots?
I assume you know that with a drone over 249g it needs to be registered in Canada and you need a SFOC-RPAS that can take a month or so to get. Also, Canadian regs require you to stay at least 30 meters away from people not involved with your shoot. That last point will make shooting in and around Toronto difficult.

There is wilderness and small lakes north toward Barrie and lake shore east toward Ottawa. If you go past Barrie you can get to Georgian Bay which is stunning but way outside of your radius. The cool stuff like Niagara Falls is out as are national parks and some provincial parks.

Bishop air port would probably make flying in most of Toronto verboten. Casa Loma might be far enough from the airport, but you would need to check.

A location that is a must is the park opposite the center island. You can fly and capture the Toronto skyline. (Tommy Thompson Park)

Here are a couple of web sites that may be of interest to the OP as they specifically addresses part of his question. The second site is for Tommy Thopmson park and it specifically states that drones are not allowed.
