Any news about Intelligent Flight Batteries Plus for the Air 3S?

unlikely but I'll be hoping for ya

How do you know? Best guess or insider information?
They have bigger batteries available for the Mini 4 Pro. Why not for the Air 3S?

Probably because the Air 3S is already specced for the same flight time as the Mini 4 Pro with the large battery.
I could use your example to state that the DJI Mavic 4 Pro offers a flight time of up to 51 minutes per battery.
Am I the only one requesting larger capacity batteries? I've also done so on the DJI Forum.

Would be nice but I wouldn't expect much. It's only the minis that have 2 options, and it's specifically because a smaller one is needed to fit under the weight target. They also don't tend to release upgrades like that that weren't in the initial design/launch.

They make small batteries for the Mini 4 Pro so it can be under 250 grams, hence the larger batteries to allow it to fly longer. DJI has no larger drone like the Air 3s with two battery sizes that I know of unless there is something like a Matrice with larger batteries.

Hopefully in a couple years we'll have dry cell batteries that are safe with double the flight time and lifetime

we can only hope but for the last 20 years we've been waiting for a battery breakthrough but have gotten little incremental improvements like lithium or polymer batteries. Better batteries will indeed be a huge deal. Mavic 6 or more likely...16...with 3hour flight time... 20x optical zoom. Maybe fly it telepathically from my bed at age 108? Let's throw in VR glasses with AI to tell me all about what's in front of me. hey...that's not a bad idea.. AI built into the camera which allows the controller to be queried regarding what is being seen...and the controller records the conversation....

This.

They prefer you buy the next new drone. $$$$
Well I'm not and I also believe I'm not alone with the debt overhang that people have, especially now with inflation going balistic.

Well then, enjoy what you have because they will NEVER come out with an "extended" battery for the Air3/3S. For reasons already discussed.

No disrespect but is that your best guess or do you have insider information?
As an aside, you do have nice shots on your website.

Forget about batteries! Install one of these for 10 year flight times from two banana peels and a handful of coffee grounds.

There's no need for guessing or insider information... As already stated, the only reason the drones that have 2 battery options have those 2 options is that one (the "standard") will get you under the 250g limit. In some countries, this is a serious limitation. Since the Air 3/3S is FAR above 250g, the battery for that drone is effectively the extended battery. It just happens to be the only battery. There may also be technical/engineering/physical restraints as well, but that's above this conversation.

As for your aside, thank you very much!
