Waypoint issue with litchi - won't fly??

I've just started doing waypoint missions and choose Litchi as the platform. Enjoying it. I made my biggest flight yesterday to go around a local property that's being proposed for development. I think I had 18 waypoints. When I went to fly, it uploaded the flight and then the drone (original Mavic Pro) just continued to hover. Uploaded again..when I hit "fly/go" button it said something like "issue with waypoints, can't fly mission" - but gave no indication what the issue was.

It's a basic flight of going from one point to another, heading in the direction of the flight, and gimbal changing in a couple of locations, with only one POI in the middle. I was just going to set it to fly and record the video - nothing fancy. Is there any way to find out in Litchi what the issue is with the waypoint(s)?

There is many variables with waypoints, distance apart, first and last, etc.

BTW, you can share your mission from the mission hub, #1 you have to uncheck private.

This has always hard for me to find, I guess it is how my mind works?

Try using LVM to create and test your flights first- it has a very good simulator that lets you check if any parts of your flight plan is bad, e.g. underground and through building routes between waypoints, potential tree trimmings, etc. it’s also free!

I went back through them all and found they were all pointing to a POI I added after the waypoints. Many of them could t see it so I thought that may be issue. Fixed them all and tried again. Same result. ☹️

I did test fly the mission a few times in litchi with its google earth simulator and it looks fine. I’ll look into that other thing mentioned.

I read that entire online manual before starting...

that's an exe file. I'm running a Mac, so I guess I can't use it.

Does it have something to do with the heights? I believe I'm setting them to be above the ground (take off point), but maybe not??Screenshot 2025-07-19 at 2.33.34 PM.png

I would not have recommended VLM, at this point in this thread.
It is cool but not yet.

If you uncheck private in the mission hub, you can easily share it like this.

It appears you tried to share your mission?
I assume you didn't uncheck Private?

Copy your link into a different browser.

what are the + symbols on the lines between the waypoints?
The '+' signs allow you to insert a waypoint between existing ones. It will automatically put a new one INLINE and MIDPOINT between existing waypoints. But, you are allowed to click and drag the new one if you need to.

I did share it, and I DID uncheck "private". Not sure what happened that it couldn't be seen.

I deleted it today - I'm going to rebuild it with the original hub as I switched to the new hub before making this one and my previous two (old hub) worked find.

@Sam36401,
Its been awhile. 👌
I know you know more that I.

#1 Did my link work?
#2 Did you try your link in different browser, that you were not logged into the hub?
#3 Why would you delete it, I have close to 100 missions on the hub?
#4 Original Hub or New Hub, what would effect you mission?

The hub is only accessed via a PC?

If I have any mistakes in the post, I'm sure somebody will respond.

I've been using Litchi with my OG Mavic Pro for several years now. Here are a few standard mistakes that I've learned to avoid, perhaps one of these is screwing with your mission.

1. SENSORS. The waypoint mission will stall if the drone gets any warnings from the sensors. So obstacle avoidance, precision landing, and vision positioning system should be off. This has serious implications on the safety of your drone, so please plan your missions carefully or in stages. This is unlikely to be your issue though, based on your error message.

2. IF TAKING PHOTOS, FLY IN STRAIGHT LINES. I forget the exact reasoning for this, but if your turns are curved, at best, the drone won't take photos. This probably has nothing to do with your issue, but I'm already here...

3. KEEP DISTANCE BETWEEN WAYPOINTS less than 2000m. I think the limit is 1999m. This might be what's tripping your mission, based on the error message.

4. LAST WP HAS TO BE LESS THAN 2KM AWAY FROM HOME POINT. This is a weird thing from litchi. This is also a good candidate for your error message.

Keeping tabs on this thread. I love litchi. I also love my mavic pro. :)
